NOT NORMAL
"Sometimes a thing and the opposite of the thing are both true." -not sure... attributed to one of the Marsalis maestros.
This is just a random bonus jazz/art/Zen concept that I believe.
"To be normal is the ultimate aim of the unsuccessful." -Carl Jung
Along with the notion that being normal is no way to live, Carl Jung laid out fascinating ideas about how we think...
-
Individual Conscious.
-
What YOU THINK.
-
-
Individual Unconscious.
-
What YOU FEEL, without quite knowing why.
-
-
Collective Unconscious.
-
What WE ALL THINK AND FEEL, whether we know it or not.

The World's Oldest Intern
I got this nickname at iO-Chicago around 2013. I was [redacted]-years-old when I convinced somebody who worked for Charna to hire me as a bar back, box office assistant, janitor. Trash bag humility.
Some caustic wit joked that I was the world's oldest intern...so I did what any improviser does. I agreed and added a bit.
The willingness to do anything to support live improvisation became the cornerstone of my professional choices. As far as I am concerned, there's nothing better.
